Hand Painted One of a Kind Jewelry

Hand painted one of a kind designer jewelry with a Victorian theme. The “stone” is porcelain, like a dinner plate, and is hand painted with multiple coats of glaze that are fired on in a kiln at approximately 1400 degrees for permanence. The actual technique is a very old fashioned process, including hand painting each piece, with typically 2-3 coats of glaze with firing in between each coat. The subject matter of the hand painted jewelry is typically flowers and birds, but the line includes frogs and angels as well.

Each hand painted piece is than made into earrings, pendants or brooches. Hand made settings are done in a technique called custom wire wrapping where sterling silver or 14 kt gold-filled wire is twisted and curved to hold the miniature hand painted porcelain stone. This technique yields a truly one of a kind piece of jewelry with a flair in how the wire is transformed individually into a frame for that particular miniature painting as the artist’s eye sees it. Some pieces are enhanced with pearls of various colors or semi-precious beads. This creates a one of a kind piece of wearable art.
